People have been asking about it and it’s finally here - Spotify just landed on the Samsung Gear S3 and Gear S2 smartwatches! It’s a bit limited, though.

So I bought gear S2 around 2 years back still works like a charm without any problems ( the only issue I had from the day one till today is that Samsung pay doesn't work if you don't have a Samsung phone at least I think that's why it doesn't show up in my watch) recently my sister got herself a galaxy watch and paired with oneplus but for her Samsung pay is working flawlessly. I connected to wifi on my gear s2, downloaded a playlist, and then went offline. So now on my gear s2, it says I have a playlist downloaded but when I tap to play it a message reads, 'Unable to play. Please check your connection'. This seems contradictory to me. Maybe this is a different problem. Spotify stand alone app released for Gear S3 as well as Gear s2.

For one, there’s no offline mode for Spotify Premium subscribers. You can listen over Wi-Fi and LTE, but that’s not going to work for owners of the Wi-Fi only models if they wanted to listen to music on the run. Also, Free users can stream Playlists (including Artist and Recently played lists) on shuffle mode, but only Premium subscribers can pick specific songs.

Make sure you have spotify running on your phone. On your gear s2, go to: Apps. Menu (the 3 vertical dots) on the right. The first item is to play music on Device or Phone. Click phone and see Spotify.

Still, the app has some cool Gear-specific features, like skipping through your playlist by rotating the bezel - you can do that without looking at the watch! Voice input is used to select songs (you can use the touchscreen, but it’s a hassle).

You should have a premium account to use the spotify over LTD. When you tried login to the app, it throw a message and won't allow you to login and use it over lte

Yeah, and that is Rolex or camel watches. Even Casio is better than Apple watch, that burn or infect your arm.

Its ok, samsung users are used to lacking functionality or functionality that does not perform as a normal user demands. Its too easy on Apple Watch, first time simply hardpress in the music app, select watch as source, let it sync/copy music to watc...

Note: You cannot control music for Spotify with a Galaxy Fit.

Open Spotify on your phone and log into or create an account. Next, press the Power key on the watch, and then navigate to and tap Spotify. Allow the different permissions. Next, tap LET'S GO to start using Spotify. (You can skip this last step on some models.)

Depending on your watch, the option to get started may differ once you open Spotify on the watch:

  • Galaxy Watch3: Unlock the connected phone. The watch should automatically connect to the phone's Spotify account. That's it!

  • Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active 1 and 2, Gear Sport, Gear S3 or Gear S2: Tap Log in to Stream Music after you open Spotify on the watch, and then tap Pair on Phone. You may be asked to log into your account on the phone again. Tap PAIR, and then your watch and phone will be paired. If you are a free user, tap Not Yet instead of Log In to Stream, and then tap Standalone.

  • Gear Fit 2 or Gear Fit2 Pro: Tap Premium User, and then tap Log in with Spotify after you open Spotify. Enter your account information, and then tap LOGIN.

On some watch models, you'll need to listen to the music through Bluetooth headphones. On other models, like the Galaxy Watch Active3, Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch, and Gear S3, the music can play through the watch's speakers.
